The solar photovoltaic system in short as solar pv system generate energy by using solar panels to capture the sun’s rays. The energy that comes through solar panels then goes directly into inverters that change the direct current (DC) in to alternating current (AC) for normal electrical usage.

Solar PV systems will benefit users by not having to depend on buying electricity from the grid. With the inflation rate of electricity, for example in Thailand, that raises at the rate of 4 percent per year, solar pv system becomes a more beneficial option with stable profits. This will surely benefit industrial users who are looking to lower the cost of operations and production cost.

Building a sustainable future

In addition to being a good choice financially, a solar pv system will help build a more sustainable future for generations to come. By harvesting the energy directly from the Sun; less resources of our world is being used. Less pollution is created resulting a better environment for us all.

3 Types of Solar System

Off Grid Solar Power System

Solar Farm or Ground Mounted

Solar farms are usually large scale application of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels to produce electricity, usually to feed into the grid. Solar farms go through a thorough planning before they are approved. This takes into account the suitability of the specific site, any potential impact on the area and relevant renewable energy targets.

Solar Roof Top

Roof top PV system can also be known as grid inter-tied solar power system is directly connected to the home and to the electric utility grid. This system allows the industrial scale properties, and private homes to get power from both their own PV system and the electrical grid. The prime advantage of this type of system is the ability to balance the system production and own power requirements. When a grid inter-tied system is producing more power than the home is consuming, the excess will be sent back to the grid. In some countries with incentives, the excess electricity produced can be sold back to the grid. When the PV system is not producing sufficient power, the system will automatically draw power from the grid.

Off Grid Solar Power Systems (Stand Alone)

An off-grid residential system is completely independent from the normal electric power grid. By having no connection to the grid, batteries are essential to balance periods of excess production and excess demand. In the case that there may be shortage of power when solar PV system is under performing and the batteries are discharged, an electric generator may be added to the system. The generator is used as a power source during periods of prolonged excess production or unusual demand.
